For many women, seeing a face filled with wrinkles and fine lines can be very disheartening, but it’s all part of aging, right? Well, yes and no. Of course, the aging process is a natural part of life for everyone. But for some people, its effects begin to show up sooner than expected.

The aging process is different for everyone, and is dependent on a number of factors. There are many products and methods that can minimize the signs of aging, from anti-aging cosmetic products, to strict diets, and going under the knife. But before you decide on any kind of preventative measure, you should be able to read the signs of aging, understand what causes and accelerates them, and know the best ways to deal with them.

THE SYMPTOMS OF AGING
Stress and tension, in addition to frequent exposure to sunlight, are significant causes of premature aging, but they aren’t the only culprits. Dry skin, a lack of sleep, a bad diet, and poor lifestyle habits can also wreak havoc on your appearance sooner than you’d like. “The effects of aging continue with the passage of time and eventually lead to a weakening of the body with a rising susceptibility to various diseases,” explains Dr. Alice Prethima, M.B.B.S. (Madras), L.F.O.M and M.F.O.M (Royal College of Physicians Ireland), Dip. Reproductive Medicine (U.P.M), M.F.M (Australia), Member of American Society of Medical Laser & Surgery, and American Board of Laser Surgery, a board-accredited laser surgeon, and family, occupational, and reproductive health physician.
