Eating for two? Making sure that you and baby are getting all the nutrients the both of you need should be a priority.
The American Pregnancy Association, which promotes reproductive and pregnancy wellness, recommends that pregnant women include these vitamins and minerals in their diet:
FOLIC ACID helps maintain placenta health and allows for proper development of your fetus’s neural tube (which eventually develops into its central nervous system). Find it in: Oranges, strawberries, green leafy veggies, pasta, beans and nuts.
IRON helps prevent anaemia, your baby from being underweight, and premature delivery. Find it in: Beef, pork, spinach and oatmeal.
