Salmiah’s challenge
After giving birth to her third son, Salmiah weighed in at a hefty 72kg. She felt heavy, and suffered from painful knees, depression and low self-esteem.
“When I was tired from doing housework, I
comforted myself with food. I found myself eating all the time.” Fed-up, she resolved to lose weight and tone up for good.
The turning point
“After breast feeding my son for 9 months, I lost 20kg but my breasts and the skin around my arms began to sag,” says Salmiah, a stay-at-home mom. “I decided to join a gym, where I started doing cardio exercises and weighttraining three times a week for a year.”
