As it turns out, that focused feeling you get in yoga class sticks
with you. According to a recent study at California State University,
San Bernardino, women who took twice-weekly hatha yoga sessions
were better able to concentrate on tasks, less anxious, and
more motivated to succeed. “Yoga teaches you how to handle distractions,
in class and in life,” says Traci Statler, Ph.D., the study’s
co-author. So take some deep breaths, strike a pose, and discover
a calmer, more effective you.
