EAT MORE FIBER
1. Turn over a ‘brown’ leaf. Sara Stanner, a U.K.- based nutritionist says that when food is processed and refined, it is stripped of its fiber and nutrients. So, try swapping that white loaf for a whole-grain one to feel the difference!
2. Read food labels to look for ones with a higher fiber content. Try to eat foods that have at least 5 grams of fiber or more per serving, suggests Indra Balaratnam, a Kuala Lumpur based consultant dietitian and current president of the Malaysian Dietitians’ Association.
