“My Hair Is Falling Out!â€

You’ve just showered and happened to notice the mass of hair (presumably all yours) plugging up your bathtub.

Before you start to panic, consider these points:

Says Chung: “Sudden and major hair loss can happen about three months or so after one has gone through a period of relentless emotional or physical stress, such as a major illness, or the loss of your job or a loved one.” However, it can be reversed once the cause of stress has been resolved, she adds. The reason behind this: Emotional or physical stress can trigger a condition known as telogen effluvium, which speeds up your hair’s growth cycle into the telogen (or resting) phase.
