It’s Happy New Year Twice Over…

…it’s Chinese New Year too!

It’s the New Year and you’re still stumped for ideas on how to make 2012 a really great year? (Although you had resolved to make a definitive list of your New Year’s resolutions in December, life just got in the way…yah, we hear you).

Not a problem. All you need to do it flip to this month’s Focus section (page 30-42) for 100 ways to be your best as far as your mental and physical health is concerned.

Speaking of resolutions, I only have one that I can identify at this point, only because of its utterly pressing nature. I resolve to make a date with my doctor for the annual health screening that I have missed for the last three years…shame on me!

On a lighter note (yes, you bet I’m changing the subject), if one of your resolutions is to exercise regularly in 2012, then you’ve come to the right place. Flip to page 78 (20 Minutes to Toned) for a total body strength and cardio blast for which you only need to block out 20 minutes (ok, so you’ll need to factor in another 30 minutes or so for a shower).

I’m currently really having a blast with my own 20-minute routines that I do at least five times a week. They’re so efficient and don’t pose too much of a mental block as all I have to tell myself is that all I need is 20 minutes…

On yet another note, you will see that SHAPE has, in a way, turned over a new leaf. That’s right, you’re not seeing things, SHAPE boasts a refreshed design to make it even more of a reading pleasure.

And yes, finally, after three years, there’s a new, more current photograph of me! I swear it’s easier putting together a whole year’s worth of editorial content than it is to have to pose for the camera for the 20 minutes that it took to get the “right shot”.
